Best Long Tube, High Flow Cat, True Dual Setup ever.

That is the question...

I am researching for my cousin (he is not the most gear head or computer saavy kinda guy)

So we have a 05 F150 Lariat Crew Cab 4x4 with a 5.4 3v.

He wants to have the best exhaust setup ever, I assume this means long tubes headers, high flow cats and a true dual set-up sporting an x-pipe.

The only problem is, there is waaaaay to many different exhaust companies claiming to be the best, and I would like the setup to be as compatable as possible.

By best we are looking for 1) Power, and 2) sound. And this is part of a Intake/Tuner/Exhaust install and the tuning will be done by a pro using a dyno to tune.

So, please let me know your thoughts on the best LT Headers, High flow cats, and a X-pipe true dual muffler setup???

Thanks in advance, and thanks mostly to the guys on here that provide intellegent feedback.

For sound, You Tube has lots of videos of various setups that you can judge for yourself. It's totally subjective.

I chose OBX LTH, Magnaflow cats, x-pipe and mufflers all in a 2.5" mandrel bent custom built system.

Looking for more of a Mustang sound. The truck is already lifted (6" Susp and 4" body) and sitting on 37's, he has a SIDO Magnaflow, but he just got back from Iraq (read: money to burn) and wants to do more power adders to it (also gonna re-gear it).

I saw the Exhaust guide, but the second link is news to me, I will read it over.

And as far as youtube clips, it is hard to find the exact setup sound file, like one may have this but not that, or is on a diff body style, etc.

And as far as compatability goes, will any headers bolt to any other set-up or will "customizing" be involved?

Thanks for the ideas, keep em coming.

Best exhaust possible? Not a true dual IMO, Dynatech LTs, Magnaflow hi-flow cats, Corsa Sport or Borla Touring cat-back.

Dynatech LTs, magnaflow high flow cats, dual 2.5" borla xr1s, and a custom tune for the LTs. Whiteroush3 has this setup on his supercharged roush F150 and it sounds amazing.

First of all, your not going to get a mustang'ish sound. Second of all, I recommend for sound and performance, Dynatech or OBX LT headers, Magnaflow X pipe, and then Borla or Magnaflow mufflers of your choice.

Also. Magnaflow cats (94106) and a custom tune.

To help with that Mustang sound, and power adder, I say he add in a GT500 Supercharged 5.4 from a Stang
