Need advice/ tips for a 2007 xlt 5.4L
Hey I just purchased my first ever truck and I'm going to need a bit of help figuring out what I want. I want it to be loud and deep my budget is about 1000-1250 ( is this enough to get a bad *** exhaust?) I've read the Stickey and everything but since I pretty much have no idea
About trucks ( I spend all my time working
On tug boat diesels ) I don't know where to start and
What would sound the best. I'm eventually planning on getting a lift kit and put 33"s on it so would this affect my decision at all?

Thanks bud. Is there anymore details I'll need? Like where can I find this? I checked borla.com and couldn't find em
And does everyone agree with him? Or do yal have any other setups?

A grand should be more than enough. All depends what u want. If u want the best then go with what they say. You can get a single exit custom exhaust for around 3 or 350. Do you want the best or just for your truck to sound beefier and like a truck. My exhaust setup was 250. 3 inch single exit flowmaster. All just depends what u are looking for. It sounds like a truck now which is what I wanted. I know some will hate on the flowmaster, and that is fine, just letting u know there are less expensive alternatives.
I will x2 this, a good sound for sure. Not so familiar with the sound of the S-type on the 5.4 Tritons. Save up a little more and you could put in Longtubes.
Ok thanks bud. I'll look into these.

If you are going true dual, I vote the oval case 12" bodies in 2.5" of coarse, part #40941 I believe.
The S Type mufflers will be a little more aggressive sounding than the XR1. The XR1 line of mufflers was designed to have all the "flow" with out the "noise". The S Type muffler is there signature "Stinger" kit muffler.
