Say what you are thinking. Plenty of people have told me not to do what I want to do, but if I dont like it all I have to do is change the loud side of the cut out to side exhaust pipes.

First of all, it will NOT be quieter than stock with long tube headers. Period. Second of all, those cut outs attached to the collectors will NOT be deep at all. It will be louder than hell and sound like ****. No tone to it at all. This will be very large expense, and just plain ridiculous in my opinion.

That being said, it is your truck so have at it. I'm just saying, it will not work out like you think it will.

I have a set of Zumis that were on my dragster. They're loud as hell but you lose a ton of back pressure so no joy if you want any kind of performance with it.

Avfrog is right, if you have straight pipes it will be loud but there's no resonance to increase the depth of the sound. You have to increase the volume (i.e. diameter) of the pipe the air is flowing through to slow the air down and deepen the sound, so a straight pipe doesn't work... But I give an A for effort in trying to work out a problem in what could likely be a delicate parent situation LOL

Go 2.5" piping and put on adapters if you cant find the 4x18 tail pieces in 2.5 piping.

how much is this going to run you if you dont mind me asking?! I have about 3 different leakes in my Flowmaster, so it needs to be replaced.. and im not really in the financial situation to spend 5-600 on the ROR setup that i wanted.. And from what I have read, this setup will sound better anyway

thanks for the hint about the 3" pipin i wouldnt have known that. umm the shop said 700 for the whole setup, then 1000 with the headers but i also get a lot of discounts for military and i know the manager. so im not sure what it should really be.
