OBX headers on 05 f150
I used the obx header gaskets which are excellent and reused the stock studs and nuts. I've tried a few times to tighten the header bolts but they've never come loose. Why people recommend locking bolts when the headers are lighter then the oe manifolds and they don't warp like them either. Save yourself money and time and just use the supplied gaskets, stock studs/nuts and extend the o2 wires yourself with butt connectors and wire and do the 'gotts o2 mod' on the rear o2 sensors
I just don't see a need for it I guess. Stock manifolds warp and leak because they hold exhaust heat due to material and lack of flow. Stock gaskets are paper thin making slight warpage noticeable. Often I've seen warped manifolds break bolts and studs because the studs don't give or unscrew so they break. The obx should not need any special bolts due to the fact that the gasket is 3x as thick as stock and the heat dissipation is vastly improved because exhaust flows out and under the truck faster rather then sitting in the manifold.
Each to their own but I wouldn't waste the money if you are on a budget.

Whenever you get your setup finished, please feel free to post plenty of pictures. I'm thinking about going to the exact setup your looking at, and would greatly appreciate any lessons learned or your opinions!

So I'm not good at splicing wires together let alone soldiering. Is there a snap and play o2 sensor extensions, that won't give me any headaches? I see they have them for the rustangs. Are they the same for the F150's as for the stang's? When I get caught up on bills I'll be ordering my set off obx's as well as the rest of the exhaust.
I did the same thing irons1n stated. Use the obx gasket with stock studs/nuts. If you have money to spare sure you could do locking studs/nuts but it isn't necessary. I think they sell extensions but I extended mine myself so I don't know for sure, and I know some of the mustang ones don't plug up to our sensors. For the rear o2 sensors do the gotts o2 mod, super easy and will save you some cash! Works flawlessly on my 07.
But your ceramic coating your full exhaust from the collector to the tips?

The can't tell the rear 02's are off. Besides they only measure cat efficiency. They can tell by looking at the gotts 02 mod that things have been altered.
I have to beg to differ, maybe me and my buddy just found the wrong shop to go to but he got a print out of their scan where it showed 02 sensor status and on the rear sensors it showed they were turned off, I don't remember the exact wording the print out said maybe it said not responding or something like that but he showed it to me in person which is what sparked me to do the gotts mod in the first place. I ended up helping him install simulators in the end to pass inspection, this was about 2 years ago which is why I can't remember the exact wording it had. He can always try turn them off and if it doesn't work he has the gotts mod to fall back on, either way win win.
