system lean

system lean

ok so im throwin a code saying im too lean, so i have an 04 screw fx4 with 150000 on it, and it kinda smells like propane, is this from the cc cloggin or 02 sensors bad?

Any other driveability issues? Idle problems? Propane/rotten egg smell is usually a sign of cat problems but your upstream O2s are what triggered the code (before the converters). Typically caused by a vacuum leak but an exhaust leak between the header and the front O2 might cause some unmetered air to get in and throw the code. Just an FYI if your getting outside air into the exhaust BEFORE the converter it will get very very hot and likely melt down the converter and smell like that. Personally I would start by replacing BOTH upstream O2 sensors given ur mileage...GL

well we r starting with changing the fuel filter and a treatment for the fuel system, injector cleaner etc. i still however smell that smell, ima have a guy i know check it out then maybe from there to a muffler shop i guess. but no there doesnt seem to be any other issues with driving
