What do I need?

Alright I'm on a budget but I wanted some
sort of better sounding exhaust system. I have a 06 5.4L and I'm
thinking of replacing my stock muffler with a cherrybomb glass pack. My goal is get the deepest tone I can without having a really load truck. I'm not a big fan of that. Can anyone help me with some sugestions on what might be the best solution? Thanks

2.5" Dynomax bullet and put a 4" tip at the end of your stock location.

Would 2.5 or 3 inch pipes be best? Which is louder? I have 2.5 but if I get a shop to do it I may go up to 3 if it's better.

3" would be deeper i'd think and 2.5" would be louder. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

What Mig said. 2.5" Bullet or Magnapack with some extra 2.5" pipe welded into your stock exhaust. And the nice tip. That's the cheapest recommendation. Most aftermarket SISOs are 3". But 3" means new pipe back from the Y pipe. And the more pipe the more expensive it is.

3" is best performance but for a stock running engine, the price/performance ratio does not justify it self, so best be replacement muffler and extra pipe to patch the removal of the old muffler, if your on the budget
