Tune it and delete the rear o2 sensors in the tune.

The is not the first time for codes at all... happens every so often and I have had it, but I was also having an issue with my truck. Secondly, any exhaust leak around there area is ALMOST GUARANTEED to set off a CEL. Those senors are so sensitive, that's how you know they are working. My issue with shutting off sensors is this: If you have an issue with your truck, you won't know. That is very risky and can lead to issues. Those monitor to make sure your converters are functioning ok.

I'll let you know when and if it comes back on.

The location of the O2 sensor could be the issue, but I can't say for sure. When I had mine done, the O2 sensors were placed 6 inches away from the cats.

The exhaust leak is another possibility. When my truck had leaking exhaust manifolds due to snapped off rear studs, it eventually threw a check engine light. It wasn't a catalyst code like yours though, it was a lean on bank 2 code due to the outside air getting sucked in around the leaky area and being metered by the sensor. Once I had headers put on with fresh gaskets to fix the leak, I cleared the lean code and it never came back...so that was the problem.

So far so good.

Put about 200 miles on it this weekend and no cel yet.

Hopefully it WAS the little exhaust leak around the left 02 sensor bung.

Yours does??

How long did it take to get them after getting your exhaust?

Just curious if mine will come back after it breaks in more.

I only had the 420 code on mine so hoping it was the leak they found.
Seems like it would be both codes if it were the cats.

Almost immediately. I had my high flows on for a year before I did duals and they never threw a code until the duals went in. But if you listen to my videos you'll hear a clinking sound on acceleration/rev. I swear I think something is loose in the cat(s). I checked the heat shield, hangers, everything and that's all I can come up with. Sometimes I only get the 0420 code. Other times I get both.
