They put my sensors at a 45 degree angle.
Angling up towards the center of the vehicle.
From what i remember that was about the same position as stock was.
just a little farther back.

My exhaust stuff arrives today...truck is in the shop for spark plugs and a few other things...and im having a hard time finding someone local that does mandrel bends. No one so far does that....I should really hold out for someone who does right?? I am going to use 2.5" and im sure right now it probably wouldn't be much of a issue but down the line I plan to add long tube headers and possible a supercharger one day. Is crush bends really that bad?

If you found a place that does Mandrel and they gave you a price, you probably wouldn't do it anyway....lol.

Now get a price for just stainless and you'll probably see why most everyone on here has used aluminized steel with normal bending.

No one does it so no one to give me a price. And I asked about stainless and it said it's about 15$ more per joint of pipe. I didn't get a quote persay because he is doing a few other things with the truck like spark plugs knock sensors. I'm hopping he doesn't take me to the cleaners but he's a good guy and does a lot of work on my work trucks too. I had asked him how much to swap in a motor in this truck and he said 800$....and that is way cheap so I think he will be fair. And I went with stainless btw. Fingers crossed...

No offense but no way in hell I would let anyone do any work for me with out at least giving me a ballpark figure. Most places around me wanted anywhere from $650-$750 for installing my exhaust but I did find a local shop that did it for alot less. And those prices are for aluminized steel. None of them would do stainless cause they say it crushes when its bent unless you pack it full of sand.

Well he has done spark Plug changes (only charges 40 per broke unlike ford and others in town that charges 100 per) and stuff before on the work f250's so I know what all that will run. Didn't get an exhaust price because I know it will be fair from him but I should ask before he starts I just forgot. I did not know about the stainless crushing vs the aluminized steel not. Might have to talk to him this morning and see about that.

Ok just talke to my guy...did some reading too and decided just to do aluminized steel. I live in south Louisiana so never will see salt...so I'm sure it will last long enough.

And I got a price for the install...I provided the 2 cats muffler and 2 tips. So his price for the pipe and labor is 180$. See why I wasn't worried lol.

WOW thats a fantastic price.

Im driving to louisiana for my next exhaust

Just a note of warning in case you didnt see my thread.
I put on the same cats and 4 days later my engine light just came on.
Going now to see what codes have been thrown.

rlackey said his also threw cat codes with the same cats.
Both of ours are true duals though with magnapacks.
He said he had no problems with the cats with a single muffler setup so you may be fine.

Just thought i should mention it.

I may have done things differently if i had known of the problem before hand.

Thats why I wasnt too worried about price...based off other prices I got from him I knew it would be reasonable. I just hope he does a good job on it too lol. Also I had got a quote for about 400 for the same job someplace else. I was going there becasue I thought they did mandrel bends...but after talking to them again I just decided to let this guy do it since he has my truck for other stuff now.

As for the light coming on...let me know what code it throws. I have read that some are ok if the 02 sensor is in the right spot like stock. I am not too worried becasue I should have my xcal 3 today with some vmp tunes. If the light comes on I will just turn off the rear o2's.
