notice i also said some of the time, then if not that, hear it all of the time. i don't care for glasspacks, that's just going to the extreme for what i said. it just gets annoying when people have any v8, and the first thing they say pretty much is i don't want to hear it. why not hear it??

I never said I didn't want to hear it. I believe the original post was asking for advice on an aftermarket muffler. I just don't want it overbearingly loud. If that's what you prefer, fine. As for me, not so much. Telling me to get a v6 is just asinine. That's the equivalent of me saying, "If you like hearing your v8, then you ought to buy a diesel." Just forget it, bud.

As for anyone else, I'm still wanting suggestions. Provided, its not just telling me to get duals or buy a v6.... Thanks again, fellas.

either a 22 inch magnaflow or a flowmaster SUV 50 series in place of your stock muffler will probably make you happy

One, i'd take the engine i have anyday over a deisel, and two i did not tell you to get a v6. I'm saying if you can't handle a little noise, then why bother with a v8. This is not directed at just you, it is directed to everyone complaining about the slightest of drone, and any noise for that matter from the exhaust.

I'll have to get on YouTube and checkout the Flow you mentioned. I can't recall ever having heard one. Thanks...

I hadn't either until I installed one on my green truck and I'm gonna miss it, it's got a slight rumble, yet is still neighbor and family friendly

Hey, tara. I couldn't find but a few clips of it online. Is this a pretty accurate representation of it? You know how some stuff sounds different on camera...
If so, sounds awesome!

Blue07STX -
Nice looking rig you've got there (2011 F150)... How do you like that new 5.0L V8? All the hype I've heard about it makes it sound pretty awesome, but I'm curious what you think of it. I've got a 2003 F150 - Nothing fancy. Some day I may actually upgrade, but for now I'm really enjoying having no payments to make on it!

After hearing both, I have to agree. When I researched the model needed for my application, I came up with PN 52558. Is that what you had (if you can recall)? I'm gonna try to order it tonight...
