Aftermarket intake manifolds

Hey guys, so from what I've hears the intake manifold that is on the 2v f150 is a piece if crap. I've been looking for options other than hps because don't want to spend $700 on am intake manifold. I found one on eBay for $400 that's polished and looks great. Description says 20hp gain which may as well be impossible. Are there any other options out there?

^ If you change that intake manifold, then you will loose your torque curve. I assume that your talking about the 2v 4.6. Those after market intakes are for mustangs looking for high end HP, not low end torque, like what you need in a truck.

How is that manifold a piece of crap?

Nope it is someone that designed and produces theme in my area ( Fontana ca) and sells them on eBay.

It is item number - 300521723919

For $400 it beats the hps piece. And the runners look long enough to make good low end assuming it retains the stock lower intake.

that's a mustang intake manifold, it's a copy of the POS typhoon and far from ideal on your truck and FAR FROM AN EASY SWAP

Is there a better intake than the pi intake for low end torque?
