why does my truck use more gas now???

Hello,
I just recently put on a thrush muffler and now my gas mileage has decreased. The pipe size is the same, so why am I using more gas?

Winter gasoline blends yield poorer mileage. Have you really checked it lately?

A chambered mufflers installed backwards would perform poorly, but you would be very easily able to hear the audible error first off the bat.

It's a POS Thrush - I ain't picky

Besides - it's still got silly non-straight-through internals: http://www.thrushexhaust.com/pdf/thrush.pdf

BUT - Reversible, I see. So, change the labels to:

Bad --> <---Just As Bad
