Ok guys, i thank you for all the info, but it seems that the there are some risks when installing a CAI compared to the stock intake, and that the rewards are not worth the risk. I do live in a dusty and make frequent trips to the beach so i would hate for something to happen to my truck. I will go ahead and look at the DWV intake mod in the how to section and see what my other choices would be.

Just run a better element. Nano fiber is the way to go IMO.
