Whatever you like is best..

A lot of various opinions about exhausts on this site...

True duals is best, but look at video's on youtube and deicde yourself on a muffler.

Your not going to gain much power if any, keep that in mind.

you'd sound like any 5.0 mustang out there for the most part. granted they still sound good. Are you gonna put some headers on?

Buddy of mine had an 89LX with a B303 cam in it, bored .30 over, forged pistons, bbk headers, 2.5" pipes with an off-road x-pipe, and pypes street pro mufflers. that thing sounded wicked.

I say dual bullets with an H or X pipe. Cheap, and they will sound great on a 302!

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but...I really like the sound of flowmaster original 40's on the fox-bodied fuel injected 302 mustangs. I don't like the flows on the new mod motors, but I love the sound of them on the old 5.0's. Maybe true duals with an h-pipe and a pair of flow 40's? I'm assuming that a 5.0 truck motor of a similar year to the foxbody mustang will sound the same with similar exhausts though. If you have the money, throw in a set of headers, and replace the cats with straight pipe! ha ha ha.

your have a ton of good options out there...try youtube, and take your time before you drop the money. good luck

If a guy wants the mustang 5.0 flowmaster sound, the ONLY way to do it, is to run duals with an H pipe. This is very important >>> NO TURN DOWNS! Leave the 40 series open at the end of the muffler. No pipe behind. This is where that 40 sounds the best, and it will give you that stangish tone.
