i'm fixing to put true duels on my '08 5.4 4x4 screw and would like some advice. i've read a bunch of these posts but it seems like everyone is trying to make their truck loud and i want to keep mine kind of quiet until i stomp on it. i would like to know if i need high flow cats and what size and kind of mufflers and tips to get. i think i'm going to drop them at the bumper like the guy did on his raptor that's in this site. any advice woud be appreciated.

For what you are describing, you will want the 18" Magnaflow SI/DO. No true duals, just 3" from the Y pipe to a dual outlet 18" body Magnaflow.

 

I have looked at the videos but all I have is a laptop and the speakers aren't very good. is there a reason for not doing true duals? I assume si/do is cheaper which is good but will it be less performance? I'm wanting more low end power for towing. I already have the cold air intake( afe stage 2)

 

^ Then will want to stick with a 2.5" mid pipe. You can still Y after that for dual tips, but your low torque curve will come from a 2.5" mid pipe.
