Cat code question

I took out my cats and put in hi-flows about 8 months ago and they sounded great and I had not problems. I just recently got an edge programmer for the towing setting and to run a little stronger and after a week of using the programmer my check engine light has come on and the code its throwing is referring to the catalytic converts. I rest my truck to the stock settings and the code goes away. Anybody have an idea of what it may be or if I can still run my programmer with my hi-flows?

Thanks guys!

Mine throws a P0420 code now but it didn't until I had my exaust rewelded. The welds were leaking around my cats and have had this code on and off since. I just assumed it was a welding issue. I might try to set it back to stock and see.

Ya I put my truck back to stock and the light went off. Once i switch it back it takes a little while but then the light comes back on.
