I just received mine today... it already has a three inch collector. I did get the (no cats/no resonator) option though.

yeah that is a little bit different header than what i have, mine has a collector with a flange to bolt the resonators on instead of welding. Kind of wish i went that route but i was concerned with visual inspections of the "cats"

Bought them on eBay. They are from Racingpart depot. It is an official dealer of OBX racing. You can check them out here.

As for the part# I have an '06 F150 and it seems that you have an '01 so it will not be the same.

Looks like the surface rust is definitely a byproduct of your environment.

I ride my dirt bikes on the beach down here, playing around sometimes we ride them through 4-6"s of salt water... I have the stock head pipe on 2 bikes (non stainless) and have NEVER seen that type of outcome. Sometimes the bikes aren't washed for a day or 2 following the ride but are then scrubbed clean. Bikes are a few years old and have little to none coloring on the head pipe. Definitely no signs of rust like that. Seems odd. Might want to have the water tested down there.

the rest of the truck looks terribly rusty, I think the headers look better than the rest of the truck visible in the pics...

i mean thats really the only stuff rusted on my truck.. the headers are by far worse than anything else minus that 4wd shaft and my rear drive shaft. Both are due for some cosmetic work but they always rust over time if your an avid offroader with 75k miles on the truck that sees alot of saltwater/salty air. Maybe ill clean them up then post new pics

So for those of us who live in the "rust belt" (ie. Chicago), is that the fate I can expect for the OBX LTs that were on my wish list?...Is there a possible alternative to OBX, of higher quality?
