looking for a cheaper exhaust system any ideas or hints

That might work if i didnt live in utah where they look for exhaust mudflaps and fender flares on every truck that they see, they love fix it tickets here it sucks

lol yea its just a suggestion. well you said you want it cheap but what are you going for sound/performance wise?

well you can do what was stated above although you won't notice any gains. it will sound better though.

yea i don't know what the stock pipe is for that year probably 2.5"? correct me if im wrong but yea just find a bullet 2.5" in/out

Either that or just dump it off at the axle.

he lives in utah ^^^

find a custom exhaust shop and pull off your stock muffler and then do a straight pipe out the back with a bend. better sound and slightly better performance. with these trucks (someone correct me if i'm wrong) but true duals and a tune are the best way to get power but cost definitely comes in to play. hope this helps.

You won't see much performance gain with any exhaust system but long tube headers and tuned.
