Exhaust Done Right IMO

I've never taken the time to post these but now here they are. The system is made up of DynaTech LT's ceramic coated, Magnaflow Hi-Flow Cats, X-pipe, & muffler (12568) and the tips I cut off from my Magnaflow catback system (16616). Hers a link to the album https://www.f150online.com/forums/me...st+system.html

Almost done right. Needed to be dual mufflers, and cat back tips look ugly and ruin the megaphone affect from the tips being one inch to the tips outlet.

Why dual mufflers? I don't want or need the extra weight or cost. The muffler I have Troyer and I choose to meet the flow needs of my engine and blower. As for the tips that inner pipe is for looks. Its not connected to the main exhaust flow so as to restrict air. Not sure about the megaphone affect but I'm very happy with how mine sounds.

Why on earth would you want to run dual mufflers if one can flow the same?

I have well over 500hp. Sound is not a problem lol. Flow wasn't an issue with this muffler nor would it have been with the 5x8 series. Although it would have been close and much hotter. So I went with the 5x11 just to make sure this wouldn't be a problem and there wouldn't be a resonance issue.

A boosted truck with a set of Flowmasters is going to sound only slightly better (if not just as bad) than a N/A truck with the same mufflers.

Same set up I have on my NA vehicle, minus the headers, and I chose another tip. Nice choice as it flows adequately for your FA vehicle. For those unaware, the double walled tip on his vehicle is so the polished outer surface will not turn blue from the heat.

Precisely, the aggression of the note is that much better. The DI/DO Magnaflow is a fine unit though. Sounds like you have built up your truck well.

I will work on a sound clip. No drone in the cabin just a healthy deep rumble.
