Originally I installed a 14" magnaflow muffler with stock piping and it droned a little and it wasnt loud enough for me. I recently installed the Banks Monster Single exhaust. The Banks has a killer drone around 1800 but other than that I like the sound. They use a Magnaflow muffler, so thats 2 magnaflow mufflers that I have had drone issues with. Also, I had to take my system to a muffler shop to have them cut my tip off and reweld it because it wasnt centered up.

If I had to do it again I would go with the Corsa system. I had a Corsa exhaust on my Z06 and the sound is amazing. Plenty of sound and zero drone. I havent heard a magnapack in person so Im not sure if they drone like the Magnaflow mufflers.

Agreed, except for that last one.

the new Flowmaster Super 10 is actually quite a nice sounding muffler, actually is toned well, not as bad flowing as the 10 Series Delta, and t-409 stainless only. It gets my approval.

i went and scheduled for the installation of the true dual super 10 exhaust for next week. The shop convinced me to get the true dual super 44 instead due to I like the deep rumble sound and he stated the super 10 is really small muffler and gonna sound real poppy. Is this true? I sure hope hes correct.

I don't think he is correct. The Super 44 and Super 10 are the same design except the Super 10 has only 1 chamber, making it a 9.75x6 shell, vs the Super 44s 9.75x13. They're both deep sounding ( If Flowmaster is considered deep toned ) ones just louder than the other.

The Super 44s should be ok for you. if you want louder later, hi-flow cats.

Magnapacks, Magnapacks, Magnapacks. Deep and loud. Though, I too like the Super 10.

Darren,
that video is what sold me to the Super 10. I love that sound. There is a few other trucks that also have the super 10 on youtube and they are poppy. I don't understand but sure hope im not disappointed when i get the install done next week.

People need to start trying these brand new mufflers more and recording high quality video. My one but is the guy with the black '00 chevy 5.3 on there, semi good quality. Cameras are all different. I shot a vid of my truck with my old picture camera and it sounded like a Flowmaster 40 delta imo, whereas my camcorder with external HQ mic it sounds exact to how it is in person.

Heres the compare vids if your interested.

HQ mic, low resolution video though.
