I did do a regular search and an advanced search. That didn't come up. Thank you.

Also, is there a how to specifically for the 4.2? I have the basic idea, I just don't want to mess anything up.

Next time, you may want to try the Index of How-to Articles first. All of the TAs are on there. Or there is always the How-to forum itself which has the link above plus some links to old articles and other stuff.

But, to add the alternative to the DWV intake linked above I give you the Intake Modification - The Gotts Mod for 2004 - 2008 Trucks.

there's some 4.2's in the write ups, but you'll need to follow the advice for whichever air box you have
