Like the title says, which muffler will produce a better sound. I have the option to put either a cherry bomb extreme or flowmaster 40 with cat back duels on my 08 v6 f150, and I was just wondering which you guys think would sound better.

They will both sound like crap. Leave that thing stock.

No need to force people to hear that awful noise.

 

Allied resonators (glasspacks) will produce a deep tone (actually slightly deeper than Flowmaster), have a little rumble on accel and decel with no snap, crackle, pop. Cost about $50 at any muffler shop. BTW, they flow absoltulely as good as any perf muffler does as well and no drone. If running a single, I would run a 28" length, if running duels, you can easily fit 2- 24" in the stock muffler location or if you go forward, you can fit up to 28".

Well I'm sorry you don't approve of what I'm going to do, but I've already made up my mind that I'm going to put an exhaust on my truck so it makes no difference to me. All that I asked was which exhaust would sound better.

why would you post a video of your V8 with a cherry bomb extreme? completely pointless when the OP has a v6. cherry bomb extreme will sound decent, so will a flowmaster 40 or super 44. cherry bomb will probably be the loudest.
