I have a single straight tubing all the way up until where my old muffler used to be then put in a Y and made it come out dual in the rear with no mufflers. Now what i dont understand is that my truck isnt deep sounding, and also isnt giving me the deep louder sound i was looking for, when my cousin has a single straight pipe on his 97 dodge 1500 and it is louder at idle and all around. What is so different about my set up, shouldn't it be giving me a louder tone. this is on a 2000 f 150.

 

You have four cats vs dodge's 1 (iirc) Also Dodge's are just louder in general

 

Your truck is a completely different animal, and straights sound like ****.
