Are these worth it

I know everyone sais shorties are a waste of money, But these are cheap... eh, I duno, just a thought I guess. I have a manifold gasket starting to leak and figure its a good time to put some headers. I'm going to guess everyone will say "don't waste your money on them, save and buy long tubes" But for this price.. is it considerable. Can probably get them for $50 Or are they just $50 dollar paper weights

That and I believe these can bolt up to stock system? Not sure.

You might as well just fix the leak. Gaskets or studs. Go stainless studs.

If you purchase the shorties, you'll be out that cost, plus the muffler shop work that has to be done to adapt your system. More work for no reason, - unless your manifolds are shot.

They will bolt up directly with your stock exhuast is about the only good thing.

if your looking for performance get longtubes.

if you just want to fix the manifold leak cheap with a little change in exhuast tone. shortys work.

bewarned if there anything like the pacesetter shortys i had one of the primarys on the passenger side goes right over a bolt hole i had to cut a bolt in half to get it to fit under the primary.

But 75 bucks for Stainless steel shortys isnt that bad at all.

i got my longtubes brand new for 285 i think the price now is at 305.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. Was just looking for anything other than the stocks, wasn't quite ready to bolt up some LT's but this month is looking good so I think Ill hold off on the short term shorties. I'd rather see the performance in the long run. But... that price had me thinking.

the quick trips i bought are now 305.00 shiped but then you have to buy high flow cats *if you want cats* and a whole new exhuast system.

The nice part about shorties is they work with the stock system and those are pretty cheap i bought my shorties brand new before i found this site fro 250 bucks. waste of money
