yes you have the correct meaning of EGR but idk why any one would waste money on one egr systems take zero power from the vehicle only made to help with emissions

EGR deletes are great for Powerstrokes, not so much for gas engines

yes it does put exhaust gases through your intake, but only while your cruising. it actually helps gas mileage and emissions. the egr valve closes at wide open throttle and doesnt allow exhaust to enter the intake. no point in taking it off, itll hurt your gas mileage( not significantly) turn on a check engine light and cause you to fail emissions, if you have that in your local area. plus, it will be just as fast with or without it. save your money and look for other upgrades

I can see no positive for deleting the EGR unless you want to prevent build up in the intake manifold. Other than that, there are no real pro's for it.

Looks like only alternative is supercharging it. I'd like to have cams and better heads but I'm looking for more power and more torque, low rpm kinda guy.

put a 4.10 gear in it, tuner, Gotts cold air intake, exhaust and leave it alone. unless you want to go super fast. that combo their will drag the foundation from under your house(even with a 4.6l). i have the same thing minus the 4.10 and plus a 73mm throttle body and i love it. i can drag 6500lbs up and down mountains here in East Tennessee at 70 mph with no problems. Just depends on what you want your truck for

I have that but with 4.30 gears and it doesn't drag any foundations. I finally lost control and threw the break-in process out the window this afternoon. It still can't break traction from a dead stop by mashing the gas (might be due to the limited slip and the road). It does scoot a lot better, but I think the engine is the weak link. Maybe one of those new 5.0's can cure it.

^ I forgot about the 4.30s. Was it worth the cash?

I'm not even sure really. $1200 and it still can't break loose. Driveablilty is better though, so maybe it was. I'm still going to have to do some 0-60 times.

Huh, that don't seem right. I'm running 3.55's w/LS on the 4x4 and It will break them loose -

Maybe you need to balance your exhaust ?

The only reason to do this is to clean up the engine compartment. Your economy will suffer without it as that recirculation happens @ cruising speeds for the most part. Short story, the adverse effects will be Emissions and Economy.
