Sounds un-real!!! Absolutely nasty!! How long did it take you to put it all together and install?? I have absolutely no talent at all with welding, know where I can learn or where to take this to get welded?? This is def one of those clips that brightens up your day, haha

X Pipie Material

Someone please educate me on X pipes. What material/finish is best stainless steel, aluminized, mild steel, etc? Also are all x pipes stamped, if not, what are the other options? I found a polished stainless x pipe on ebay for $45 out the door. Does the fact that its polished help, hurt or make no difference for the x pipe.

Thanks guys...

p.s. i just placed the order for my borla xr-1's and my high flow cats from performacepeddler.com using "clubgp" code, which saved me some $$ & they have free shipping!

Your ebay $40 X pipes aren't a bad choice but they are thin 16 gauge steel coated to look polished. It will pit and maybe rust off after a few years.

The Magnaflow X pipe is crafted very well and will last. But the ridiculous price tag... Look at Performance Peddler for discounted prices.

Aluminized steel will rust within 3yrs of salt.

I've been wanting to do pretty much this exact setup lately. Just wondering how much you paid for your tubing and where you got it?

was there a performance difference from your old exhaust to the new one....or was the change made for sound?

I tend to like how my fm40 sounds....but if there is a perf gain I might change it.
