True duals or no?

Have an 04 f150 5.4
Just got the exhaust done last weekend and not real satisfied with sound. its a Y pipe past the cats straight back with 45'd out the back with 3 1/2" rolled tips.
If im not mistaken i believe my truck has 4 cats on it. could be wrong because i am no exhaust guru.

Now the question is if i ran true duals from each side would it alter the engine's performance? Check engine light come on? how bout the sound? would it crack and pop like the late 90's chevy's? (which i dont want. sounds horrible to me.)

Any help would be great guys

You don't have to worry about it sounding like a chevy.

Just have the bungs put in for the 02 sensors and you will be fine.
Hit up you tube until you find what you like.

you have 4 cats. if you run 2.25 inch true duals you'll be fine and not notice a power loss. check engine light wont come on. your o2 sensors are in front of the rear cats so you can actually take those rear 2 cats off and have no issue and a TON more sound. it will sound really good just not straight piped (imo).

If you don't have a muffler under there, then that is your problem. Have a 12" bullet muffler installed for some real ford tough sound.
