Sound differences?

Hey guys,

Finally got some extra $ to put towards my exhaust and I had a couple questions before I order parts.

Im looking at getting a magnaflow x pipe and running true duals with either Bullets or 11" body magnapacks. What would be the sound difference between these two. Would either of these have unbearable cab drone?

Next question: Is there a big difference in sound and/or performance between having the pipes at angle behind the rear tires vs straight out the back?

Final question: Im wanting 4x18" tips in either slash cut or rolled. Will I notice a difference in sound with one or the other?

Sorry, I know that's a long list of questions. I appreciate any help.

There is a tone difference between Bullets and Magnapacks. Hop on Youtube and decide which one you like better. I personally prefer Magnapacks to everything, but that's just my personal opinion.

There is no performance difference between straight out the back and angled after the tires. Sound projection is changed though. The angled exits will project the sound to the sides, while straight-out-the-back projects all the sound towards the back.

Slash cut and rolled tips will sound the exact same. Just pick which ever one looks prettier to you.

To me the magnaflow magnapacks have a little more "tuned" sound to them. A little more refined tone if you will. Just my opinion of coarse...

I can speak for the Magnapacks - i put one on as a replacement for the stocker, and it's AWESOME...and that's basically a stock setup. With true duals, etc, she'll be LOUD! And avfrog put it best - a smoother/tuned growl. (both are pretty cheap too which is nice)

You can get both of those for pretty cheap on performancepeddler.com with the code "clubgp". I know Darren had a pair of 11's on his before he switched to the Bullets. Magnapacks will be more agressive and have a much sportier tone. The only trade off is that drone is pretty bad. I really don't notice it anymore after almost a year of running it.

Well it's not as loud as true dual straights, but it's pretty damn loud. My neighbors definitely despise me.

My throttle response didn't really change just from the exhaust. The majority of my performance gains are really from the programmer, but none was lost after they were installed.
