Borla vs. Magnaflow catback

Hey guys, ive read alot of threads on here arguing on catback systems vs. other options..but im just looking for ease of installation thats why im thinking catback. done several systems on previous vehicles. but trying to debate on magnaflow dual exit vs borla dual exit and cant find if the spare tire remains or not..if not i guess i'll stick with single bc im not trying to take out the spare..ive had too many flats in my short driving career haha

so buy the mufflers of your choice, then go to your local muffler shop and have them run the exit in the location of your choice...

Agreed. It will be cheaper that way. Just make sure they don't use that pre-bent crap.

if you look at the OP's post, you can see where he filled out his vehicle information to help others out...

I would definitely would go with the borla muffler/tips of your own choice and have it done custom. I saved about $300 going that route and don't have one of those generic looks you always see with exhaust exits.

alright thanks guys, looks like i'll prob end up going that route and have it done custom. theres a speed shop nearby that'll probably be able to do it for me..now for the next step. do i do the muffler to the tip only? or should i get high flow cats and have them do it from there all the way back? i gotta admit i havent even looked close under the truck to know where everything is

and which borla muffler do you guys suggest..does anyone have sound clips?

looks like the only dual out borla is the 19" 3"in 2 1/4" out

Buy both the muffler and the tips. Replacing the OEM cats with high-flows will make the exhaust have a more aggressive tone and a bit louder.

It really depends how loud you want it....Me personally I didn't want nothing to loud and was going to drone in the cab, so I went with the Pro XS (It's the same exact muffler as the turbo XL but just mass produced for shops) and it has a deep nice rumble to it.

Here is where I bought mine from and it was the cheapest deal out there at the time:

I say Borla muffler and big Maggie tips. That is the best setup.
