True duels and loss of power....

I got true duels and now I swear I lost alot of bottom end torque. I drove a stock f150 just in my yard moving some sand it felt more peppy than my truck just barley giving it gas. Has any one else seen this in theirs and what did you do to change it! Im wondering if going to like a single 3in mid pipe then spliting it will help. Give me your opinions please.

Well how big of pipes do you have on your dual exhaust? Xpipe or Hpipe? Do you still have cats/ mufflers? What mods do you have? What mods does the other truck have? What gearing do the trucks have? Is yours 4wd etc etc etc.

Need more info like:

Is there a cross over?
If so, H or X?

What pipe size?

What mufflers?

The other truck is completely stock, 3:73 gears I imagine. My truck has cai, true duels(pipes are stock size, 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 not sure), X pipe, bullet muffs(was a chambered muff before and no diffrence between the two), PHP Gryphon tuner, and 285/55/20 tires which his were stock as well.

Well if it's 2.5", then you will notice some low end loss. 2.25" is where you want it, if torque is your main concern.

Wow ya dont even know the pipe thickness? Well, I have 2.5" true duals X piped, and the low end sucked stock tuned. Custom tuned it felt better, but its still not all where it could be. 2.5" true duals is just too thick.

Throw a SC on top and don't worry about the 2.5" pipe

Yep!

Even A Fartmaster system will work with one of those Ultimate Throttle Body Spacers!

If you have 285's on 20's that is a huge difference in rolling resistance. You say his were stock depending on wheel setups you could have 50lbs per wheel/tire slowing you down.

I have 3:55 gears in my truck and when I get in my bosses truck which is a 4x4 with 4:10s with exhaust and intake and tune it feels real peppy. Hell it may feel more peppy then mine but thats all because I dont drive it every day. If I drove his truck every day then hopped into mine I'm sure I'd feel blown away by the power the whipple puts out all over again.

Yeah sorry took so long 4 a response. stock pipe diameter, yes both had diffrent tires size by a great amount mine versus stock but it was about the tap of the gas pedal and feeling the hugh response diffrence, not driving down the road. maybe afterthe spark plug change, e fan, and underdrives ill notice something.
