Ok getting ready to dump some money....wanting to get a cai, programmer, duals, and thinking about throttle body, and maybe some COP from accel. What should I get...as far as what is going to be the best bang for the buck ?? I'm wanting to get this stuff and have it on the truck and ready to go by the 6th as I have a road trip to take through the mountains....and I want her to be breathing good. I was thinking Edge Evo for the programmer and bbk for the cai and the throttle body as I have seen their mustang stuff do good and the exhaust I was thinking about flowmasters bolt on kit

Alright, lets start on the throttle body and COP's. Unless you have a port matched TB elbow and intake manifold, a bigger TB is a waste of money. After market coils do nothing for performance. Motorcraft COP's can ignite water, that's how good they are. Only a couple other brands are on par with Motorcrafts.

Now for the Flowmaster's. It's been proven time and time again that if horsepower is you goal, then Flowmaster is your enemy. Mufflers that you can see straight through are your friend. Only buy a FM if you like that "unique" tin can sound.

As for the programmer, the Edge is good on a stock truck without any engine modifications. If you want to add a CAI and a decent exhaust kit, custom programming reigns supreme. Power Hungry Performance custom tunes the Edge, but no longer converts them to Gryphons, so keep that in mind if you do plan on buying the Edge. There's also VMP and Troyer that use the SCT system, VMP being the better of the two.

OK what about the Gryphon CTS ?? I was comparing that and the sct livewire through VMP....the one thing I like about the Livewire is it data logs, and comes with 3 custom tunes for 569.00 the CTS through Powerhungry is 589.00 and I believe you still have to pay the 30 for the tunes...and I have heard bill can take quite a while...although I'm not sure....I don't want to wait forever to get this programmer. As for the exhaust what would you do ?? And the same for the CAI

i just did true duals, with x pipe, and dynomax bullets. Don't know if i gained any power but it sounds better. next was the CAI and edge evo. i have it set on tow mode, still cant tell a big difference in power but it shifts alot harder and and has better throttle response. Took in on a trip and averaged just over 16mpg running 75mph. i don't know if all that has helped out that much, but it sounds like it should.

Either tuner choice will be fine. I've got an older Edge/Gryphon and don't really have any experience with the CTS or the Livewire.

For the exhaust, I recommend:
True duals
hi-flow cats
X-pipe
2.25" mandrel bent pipes
any straight-through mufflers (Magnaflows/Borlas/Bullets)

The Gotts DIY CAI is the best you can buy. It only costs $15 and performs the same as a $250 piece.
