gotts modd upgrade?
gotts modd upgrade?
has anyone taken the gotts modd further and added airaids modular intake tube? from the factory airbox to the tb? its supposed to flow 400cfm more air than the stock one. worth the money?
not sure, i understand that the airaid will only flow as much as the rest of the system before it. was kinda hoping that someone had already figured that question out. but going from about 2" TO 3" with the gotts thats pretty substatial
so do the gotts mod and leave it alone, it's already proven to flow more than enough for your trucks needs (unless you have some good mods)
unless of course you want to spend the money and in that case I say go for it and let others know how it worked for you

The basic reasoning your overlooking when you're comparing anything that's manufactured, like the MIT, to a simple DIY project is how much making an improvement like the Gotts mod improves the thickness of your wallet and you can tell everyone you did that along with being proud of it.
That air box along with the tb only will allow so much air in on a n/a motor.

In these tests performed by Jim Allen the Gotts mod is comparible to #6 and the MIT is comparible to #3.
Both of these are with stock air filters.
