New exhaust set up?

I have a 2003 supercrew and I want to replace the stock exhaust with something a little louder and deeper. Thinking about a 12" Dynomax Bullet. Couple questions
I'm pretty sure I wanna go with 3" Bullet but would it be that much different than 2.5"?
Do you think a y-pipe after the muffler with 2 18" SS tips slash cut 2.5" in/3.5" out at 45 degrees would look good on my truck on should I stick with the stock exit?
Are these the parts I would need:

Thanks in advance, kind of a rook here

you have 2 options.

1. run a 3" bullet but keep it single outlet (no Y pipe) That will sound good. Check my vids thats what im running. You would upgrade the piping after the stock Y (where the 2 pipes on each side meet) and run it through a 3" bullet and out the back at a 45 degree. If you want dual outlets, just put a dual outlet tip on. Personally this is the route I would go because 3" sounds better than 2.5".

2. run a 2.5" bullet and do dual outlets with the Y pipe. Those will be the parts that you need that you posted.

Option 3 don't run bullets at all. Grab some Hi Flow Maggies #94106 and a Cherry Bomb Extreme Muffler. All the deep rumble you'll want I only have the Cherry Bomb on right now and it's already loud. My high flows get tacked on friday so i'll have a video up. Just thought of something you may want to check that the 03 runs the 94106's mines a 07 so they might not be the same.

I think I'm going to go with option 2. I really like the look of duals 45ed with slash cut tips. I don't need the loudest out there but I love the sound of bullets

op - A 3" bullet with the Y and tail pipes is an awesome way to go. You will love it. IMO, it is worth going 3" on your mid pipe and muffler. What this will do is strengthen your mid-high torque curve, and give a better tone. A little more all around performance gain. If you are very concerned about MAX low torque on the other hand, your best bet is to replace the stock Y pipe with a magnaflow (or equivalent) Y pipe and stay with the 2.5" mid pipe and muffler.

So would the y-pipe from ebay on my first post work in order to do 3" mid pipe?

Just make sure it is a 3" in, and dual 2.5" out. So... yes
