Banks Moster Exhaust. Yes? No?

I have always heard about Banks Power packages being one of the best on the market, but has is the Moster Exhaust system? It's a little exspensive from what ive seen compared to the F.M. but less than Magnaflow system. Any input would be great. Thanks again guys!

Buy a muffler online and have a shop put it in for you and save some cash.

they want 600+ for one muffler, a 2 foot piece of pipe, and a tip.. Their nuts. You should have your own muffler choice swapped in, which should run you 100 for the muffler and 50 for an install.

You're basically paying for the name on this kit. As av already stated, buy all the main bits and have a shop bend the pipes and weld it up. You can save about half going that route.

I have it and love it. Its way better than buying a muffler and putting back on your crappy stock system. plus you can find them for around 450 and install it yourself in your driveway in like 10 minutes. These guys are just haters.

I am very happy with mine on my 2009 SCrew. On my truck it was more like 6' of pipe, clamps, polished stainless muffler, and the tip. Pipe is 3" right behind the intermediate pipe through the muffler and to the tip.

You can install a muffler that will be as loud for a lot less, but I am happy with the fit and sound of mine on my truck.

Its appears in the pics that you posted that on the front of the stock muffler there is a hanger, and yet on the banks there is no hanger on the front pipe.. Does it not come with any mounting for that point?

Also I'm speaking from my experience. My 05 had three different maggie cat-backs, a flowmaster cat-back and the roush off road. To me they all wasted my money, and all the piping seemed to surface rust terribly in the winter, where the stock still looked great on the 06 f-150 at work in the same condition same miles.. but im not rich either so i guess to me i like to save pennies where i can.

Yes there is a hanger on the front pipe, it attaches via the clamp. I hadn't installed the clamp yet in the pictures as I was laying out the pipes to see how they compared to the stock ones.

Hmm... saving pennies by having 5 different cat backs on your 05? I bought my kit for $519 and still have my stock exhaust to trade in with the truck.

Ok, thats good info, cause it looked like it wasnt there, thanks for responding so quick!

Yep 5 kits on my 05. I had a big problem with drone on the magnaflow kits. 3 maggie kits were switched out by hottexhaust as i was having some issues with them. By the third one I gave up. I then swapped a flowmaster in, and then went to the roush off road. The roush kit was excellent, but when i traded my 05 in I took it off, put the stock back on and just sold it last week. I sold everyone of them used for close to what i had paid new so it worked out in the end.
BUT this is why i say i learned my lesson to save my pennies and on my 2010 i will not spend that kind of money when i know i wont be happy in the end. I may even keep it stock this time who knows.. Probably going to swap in a borla muffler though once the trucks gets past its "new" stage.

Are you wanting single exhaust or is that just what you've been pricing?

i have it and love it, i got mine straight from banks for $450. install was easy once i wrestled the old one off. $450 seems to be a decent price for a stainless exhaust compared to the others
