What muffler?

Ok, so i know I want to run true duals out the back of my truck, on each side of the hitch.

I also know I want two of these 35167 (from PP)
Now I am not picked between SLP LM1's or magnaflow mufflers.
I know I want something that is going to be deep, and louder than my SI/DO flowmaster knockoff.

Where would I get a good (yet cheep) X-pipe at?

I have only heard one 5.4L 04-08 on youtube with the SLP's, but I did like how it sounded.

Of the two what one is going to be cheeper, and what does everyone think of them?

You can find a cheap stainless X-pipe of of ebay fore like $40. I bought a Magnaflow one fore around $65 on performance peddler. SLP's are going to be expensive, really expensive. You can pick up a pair of Magnapacks or Bullets for less that the cost of a single LM1.

Oh, Ill likely go with the magna packs then.

Thanks for letting me know that, I can likely order everything from performance peddler then.

I was told right at $150 for true duals if I brought everything besides the pipe. Its crush bent but I doubt that would make change in the power/sound.

looks more like the first picture, is that bad? I mean I can't loose that much just because of a little bending, even if I do its not likely that I will miss it.

I was thinking about doing a lighting style exit, but i am not sure that would work with true duals. It would be a lot easier on me cost wise thats for sure, and I kinda like the way they look.

I would have to get a different set of tips though.

So i picked these out, and the total with code "clubgp" is between $269-289 depending on what tips I get.

10790 X-pipe
10415-14" magnapacks (is there a 12'?
35157 Short tips if I go with a side exit in front of the rear passenger tire.

35103 if I go out the back.

i was quoted $150 for the pipes and being/welding if I go out the back, Likely much less if I go out the side, like $80. I told him I would remove the rear tire and he said he said that makes it faster and easier, but is not needed. If I do remove it he said less bending and less cost.

I figure $400 and I can be done with it, now I just have to figure out where I want to run the pipes, and if its really worth it.

I want it to be louder than my current SI/DO knock off, but I am not sure the sound is worth the price and any small gain/loss of power I might get.

Ok, as long as it's not like the second pic then you should be fine. Magnapacks only come in 14"x4" and it will be louder than your old knock off FM.

Here's what mine sounded like with stock cats, but it has an H-pipe.

Even so, my camera blows. You really have to be there in person to hear it.

Well, i am going to have to wait until I get the money, likely after Thanksgiving.

but at least I now what parts to buy, now just have to decide how to run my exhaust.

i seen a HD F-150 on youtube that hide true duals lighting exit style that looked really good.

I am still not sure if I should go with a short tip or a long one.
