which high flows...?
OK, so I just got my new exhaust done last week and I already want to make it louder. BigBlue5.4 and avfrog, recomended the 94106 magnaflow cats. i want the loudest ones pretty much lol, its just My exhaust guy thinks i should invest in getting the ones with the O2 sensor bungs already in them becuase he's going to drill them out anyway and charge me an extra $200 for drilling. He said with the 94106's bought, drilled and installed im about $350 out the door.
Does this sound right?
thanks!

OMG $350 is outrageous. I ordered my cats from PP for $98 they'll be here Friday and the guy at one of the local muffler shops is drilling the holes and installing both for $120. NO WAY i'd go to your guy!!!
I knew I had read about these 94136s somewhere.

Search 94136 and you will see a few threads about them.

You could get the 94136 model which does have an O2 hole, but its been known to give false readings and triggering the CEL, having the O2 sensor mounted AFTER the new hi-flow cats ( 94106 model in your case ) works very well, it gives the cat a chance to filter the certain percentage of gases and the CEL reads it acceptable.

ok,
so i got the cats put in, and it sounds totally different than with regular cats.
its deffinately a lot louder at cold start, under load and at rev but thats the only time you notice a difference. It has a added a little bit of a raspiness to the tone to the under 1500 rpm range, but it seems to be growing on me. I went with the 94106's and had the hole drilled in the cats with the bungs put in place- no codes so far ("crosses fingers"), i will try to get a video and pictures up but as we know my camera sucks a$$ lol.
the in cab drone got louder aswell when driveing on highway's- pretty much 60 mph+ sucks, but its not so loud you cant talk to the guy next to you. if you have the radio on about 1/3 it drones the sound out.
just a side note: i've set off 4 car alarms and 1 store alarm lol.
Thanks for all the information!

Wait, did you have it drilled into the outlet neck after the guts or into the main body?
Nope, mine were mounted on the cat body after the guts. I haven't had any problems with them in the 7 months they've been on. The only thing that could go wrong is if the guy didn't quite miss all the guts.
