PERFORMANCE exhaust system

hey guys ive been thinking of switching 2 a performance exhaust system. my current system is true dual straits wats the best muffelrs 2 buy with the most horsepower gains its on a 2003 fx4 5.4

any straight through muffler. also dont fool yourself into thinking your going to get noticeable hp gains by putting mufflers on. if anything youll feel a TAD bit of tq gained back.

A proper exhaust system (correct pipe size, crossover, mandrel bends, full lengths of pipe, zero leaks, etc.) is just as important as what muffler you run (if you run one at all).

Best performing exhaust for an F150 would be:

True duals 2.5" mandrel bent pipes
Long tube headers
Hi-flow cats or none at all
X-pipe located near original Y-pipe location
Pair of any straight-through mufflers or no mufflers at all.

That's debatable. IMO peak horsepower is more important than low end torque. That's kind of twisted sense I drive a truck!

That all depends on your opinion of "the best performing". What powerband your looking at, and if your after peak numbers or not.
