XR1! That would be the closest to a Roush Offroad, which IMO is the best sounding muffler on the 5.4 3V. On a 2V it should be awesome!

 

that would be me. And i still love it. Still dont have any good videos of it but ive never gotten anything but positive comments on it and it really does sound like stock cruising down the road.

looks like I'm late to the discussion... but I'll put in another vote for a CORSA!!!

If you can still get them, I'd do it. I put a corsa sport on my 2004 5.4 V8 about 3 years ago and its great. I picked it up on a great sale for like 200 bucks and some change... I don't know that I'd have paid full price for it.

Here is a great article and video on it. They show a video of the truck (a 2 valve engine BTW) on a dyno. Gunning the engine while sitting still does not do it justice... it sounds much better with a load on the engine.

Now might be a good time to get a Corsa... if they discontinued it... you might be able to find a deal if you can find them in stock somewhere.

Which XR-1? 12" sportsman? Why not Stinger?

 

I believe the S type (stinger) only comes in 2.5"??? for Xr1 If they made a 12" round body I would do that, but might go with the 12" oval just bc its 3" shorter. Not 100%. I know round bodies are louder, so well see.

 

^ I forgot about your 3" single system... So your options are 12" oval, or 15" round XR-1...? I think I would go with the 12" oval... I think.

 

yeah i dont know i gotta do more research and see whats louder.

Ordered a Corsa system last night. The youtube vids I heard impressed me. I hear they sound even better in person. The "no drone" is what really caught my eye. Guess I'll find out soon if I made the right decision
