If its under factory warranty then i wouldnt touch the rear cats depending on the dealership if the notice it then they may void your warranty. If its out of warranty then i wouldnt worry about it to much, and no they wouldnt turn you in

I was worried about the same thing when I did that, but they never said anything. Go for it.

It might get you a fine for removing emission components.

well my guy that does all my exhaust work says it's legal for him to remove 1 set of cat's. He did my B2 a couple years back, it has 2 cat's on it from the factory...he removed 1 and split it right after the first cat. As long as it still has 1 cat on it you shouldn't have any problems with emissions or anything. And you will be surprised what you pick up with removing one set of cats

ha thanks for the responses! they are coming off. Do yall think deleting rear cats, adding an X pipe and running dual 4 inch tips out the back at 45's will sound good? or do i need mufflers

^ You need mufflers to sound good IMO. If you like that straight pipe sound, get a pair of dynomax bullets. They will still be loud, but at some depth to it, and just an all around better sound.

If your truck is a '97 - '03 with rear cats cut & straights it will sound ridiculously loud and un-toned.

Put the Dynomax Bullets in regardless.
