Wats louder?

hey guys i have 03 f150 5.4 an i am currently running true dual straights 2.5" to 3.5" tips an i was wondering wats louder 2 yall straights or im considering 8 inch glasspacks. cause we have 4 cats which cuts down on allot of sound 2 me... wats yalls opion????

you cant get any louder than not having mufflers..if you put 1" glasspacks it would still be louder with no mufflers

Yes, most of the time. Some people have had check engine lights with the removal of their rear cats. Just be sure to remount your O2's after the precats.

remove the sensor before there takin off? or wat cause if im guna cutt them off i dnt want any problems so i wana do it right

straights = loudest you get.

O2 sims give a false O2 reading. shuts the CEL off.

cut out all 4 and put in 2 high flows, if your funds allow that, if not delete the rears and do as said above.

if i do cut all out an put on the highflows should i have any problems with sensors throwing trouble codes????? i wana make sure i doit right

No, if you were to swap out all 4 cats for a pair of 94106's, you would NOT have any CEL's. The only downside is that you're paying more for the hi-flows than what you would to just remove the rears. Sound-wise, 94106's and precats sound the same.

The rear O2 sensors will simply need re-mounted in the pipe after the new cats. If any shop says they cannot do that, move onto another shop and trash their reputation for being lazy.

x2. every shop around me bitched out on doing my cats til i called up one place, people who actually knew something lol

Its a hit & miss on '97 - '03. Usually higher miled trucks can, any LEV emissions package truck will give off a CEL.
