hey darren i searched around and got most info on mangnaflow cats #94106 and having the o2 sensor (bunged) dont know what that means but i figure its welded one inch after the new high flow cats my one issue is on performancepeddler all i can find is 2 1/2 inch tubing but i have 3 inch do they make 3 or is 2 1/2 my only option thnx for your help or anyone else who chimes in

Wait, wait. Have you done anything with the factory stuff before and including the factory "Y"? If not, I am pretty certain that you need the 94106 if it's indeed going on your '08 F-150.

for the same reason I want them.
replace my two stock cats with 3" in and out, step the pipe up just after the first cat to 3" into the converter.
Or I guess I could come right off the headers and step up to 3" there, and put a bung in the pipe for the O2 sensor thats right after the flange.
Then into a 3" in/o Y, into a Maganaflow oval 12" or 14" side exit in front of passenger tire, ending with
now if I can just find a premade 3" y for my truck.

Now, you might be thinking, why would i want such a large pipe on a stcok 5.4?
Well because a single 3" is about the same flow/velocity and according to the chat thing i looked up, a single 3" is just slightly less free flowing than a 2.25" dual system.
a single three would be between a dual 2.25" and 2.50" system in terms of flow.
Add in that I am going to side exit in front of the tire, should sound good and cause no problems. (I hope)
Now if I can just find a premade Y that fits my truck.

I would like to honestly know why you think it would turn out bad.
Like I said, (unless the chart I found is wrong) a singe 3" pipe from a 3" Y would flow some where in the middle of 2.25" and a 2.50" true duals.
as people are running 2.50" true duals I fail to see why a singe 3" would be a bad idea.
Unless there is something I don't know about going on.
But what exactly should I change about that?
Unless I am not understanding DarrenWS6 or we are not on the same level he didn't see any problem with it.
If nothing else I would run a step up from the Y right to a 3" pipe into the 14" maggie then a tip in front of the pass anger wheel.
you your self are running 2.25 on a 4,6 right? I have the 5.4L and a single 3" would be almost the same.

The surface area of a 2.25" pipe is effectively 3.9760782021996".
The surface area of a 2.5" pipe is effectively 4.9087385212341".
The surface area of a 2.75" pipe is effectively 5.9395736106932".
The surface area of a 3" pipe is effectively 7.068583470577".
dual 2.25" piping would be 7.952 just round that up to 7.9 as opposed to a single 3" at 7.068.
Take in that dual 2.50 is 9.81 say 9.
The thread is talking about a 5.4L expy, cant see why there would be a problem on my F-150.
