Too many numbers...

Are you saying you want 3" true duals, or a 3" SIDO/SISO with 3" pipes coming from the headers to the Y-pipe?

one single 3" exhaust. either from the stock Y back or from headers to the cats to a Y all in 3"

but single, not dual.

Then you should leave the pipes that goes to the Y-pipe 2.5". You would be screwing the exhaust flow and velocity.

Here's a Maggie Y-pipe that goes from 2.5" to 3". As long as you keep the rest of the exhaust 3", you will have great torque.

If you had LT headers, you could compensate for the 3" banks. But there really wont be too much of a performance advantage, it'll sound way nicer though.
