Need help with exhaust for a 2010

I want to replace my stock muffler with a dynomax bullet and have a black tip exiting out in from of the right rear tire. What diameter should I be looking at here? 3? 2.5? Whats the difference and why?

a single 3 inch bullet sounds very good. I have the 2.5 inch, but I am going duals later on. and get a 4 inch tip. the difference is just the diameter. It flows more through it because it is bigger and the tip will project it well.

2009+ exhausts are all 2.75" systems, so get the 3". Never reduce the pipe size at the muffler.
