Question about Roush Exhaust

I bought my truck used and I am just wondering how I can tell which Roush exhaust is on there.

It sounds pretty good but I want more. lol We got in a 05 FX4 with a Banks Monster on it and it sounds goooodd!! I want mine to sound more like that but keep the Roush tips. Any suggestions?

I would think you could measure the length of the muffler, mine is 19 in. and its the street legal one.

Must be the legal kit. Mines not that short. Is there any way to just buy the muffler and a short piece of tubing?

Unofrtunately not.

If you're wanting the sound that the Banks exhaust produces just buy the monster muffler and weld a y-pipe in to adapt to your existing tail pipes.

Borla makes the mufflers for the Roush exhausts. Maybe you can find an equivalent from them.

That could work. I'll browse around on their site. I'm looking for the easiest fix. Don't have access to a welder..although the banks is all clamped on...so IDK might just buy the monster muffler and clamp on a Y pipe?

I found the duals kit similar to the Roush setup but I couldn't really find a SIDO muffler like it. So I emailed them about it. Hopefully they will help me out!!

My previous exhaust ( true dual 11" bodies ) sounded the most like a Roush Off-Road than any other muffler out there. My guess of a single 11" with a Y pipe to mate tips to would sound damn near the same.

Yeah my Roush Offroad muffler is ~9" long. The short Borla XS Pro or the XR1 will give you a very similar sound.

What is the inlet and outlet on the Roush exhausts? 2.5"? 3"?

Alright thanks guys. Have to do some figuring. See what all I will need to get it done. I'm thinking a XR1 of some style either round or oval 3" to 3" then from there a 3" do to 2.25" then a Y to the tips.
