Need some advice!
Hey, Mason here. I have a 2002 grey f-150 4 door lariat supercrew 5.4L v8. I am looking to build my truck to a speed demon. I know that the engine requires air to get to it. I have a K&N air filter in it. I just had some questins about air flow. In order to get the most air flow to my engine to get good acceleration, top speed, and gas milage, I was wondering what exactly i should go with. Should i put a throttle body spacer in? mabee a turbo? or a fresh air intake? cut my air box off? any advice would help me out. I plan on getting a chip for my truck so i know that air flow will be necessary. Also i know that when the engine takes in air it has to let the air out. so i need some advice on exhaust systems. I want a quiet clean sounding system. i dont want that loud poping sound or radling. I just want a clean clear sound that isnt to loud. so any advice on which system is better than others is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.
if you want cheap look up the "gotts mod" I would have done it but already had a K&N CIA... throttle body isn't gonna do much but give you a whistle sound.. and for exhaust mine is my fav... true dual with flowmaster 40s and rear cats removed... just my .02
supercharge it if your serious about being a 'speed demon'. No throttle body spacer, does not a thing to fuel injected modern engines. Run a Magnaflow cat-back system. Comes with the tame 18" body, stainless steel, calm & clean toned.
