Is putting a throttle-body spacer and a CAI on my 2007 lariat a good way to get better gas mileage and more power. Also, what is a good product to go with?

 

A TB spacer is a total waste of money on a fuel injection system. The CAI is a minimal return for the cost. A much better route is a tuner with custom tunes and modify the stock intake. Or, get the CAI if you are doing it for appearance purposes.

 

ok, now does a tuner void any warranties?

 

if you install a SCT tuner they wont be able to prove there was a tuner. It rewrites the CPU with a custom program and stores the stock program

SCT is the company that makes the tuner they have xcal3 which is a hand held tuner and code reader and they have a livewire which is a code reader, tuner and gauges. Both can have the same tunes it all depends on if you want the digital display and gauges livewire has. Just make sure you get it loaded with custom tunes and as you continue to modify you truck the tuner canemail you new tunes to upload into the tuner
