Swap the muffler with a shorter muffler such as the 12198 and add extension pipe. Depending on how much louder you want your exhaust, the better thing would be to add 94106 magnaflow cats. With those cats your system would sound similar to my old system

Replace it with a 4" round Magnapack, screw the oval bodies. If you want to hear it, go round body, or hi-flow cats with short case mufflers ( Magnaflow 11s, 14s, Borla ProXS 14s, Borla S-type 16" ).

S-type are only 10" long case and 5" round.

Really? huh, thought I seen one that was 16" once. Guess not. That explains how they pack so much thunder though.

I vote for a 4" round Magnapack and high-flows........ of course only if you REALLY want to hear it!

Yes the overall length outlet to outlet is 24"s. The muffler body/model itself is the 18" body.

That wont effect anything, if you have to trim anything, trim the intermediate pipe down. Put the muffler in first, make inlet/mid pipe measurements and cut the midpipe to proper size.
