What exhaust set up do I want (clueless)
What exhaust set up do I want (clueless)
Hey yall, so I've been wanting to get some kind of exhaust put on my truck because it is just not cutting it anymore. However I have no idea what I want to get. I know I want to get some kind of true dual exhaust and I want it to have that deep rumble to it, but not loud as hell in the cab that I have to yell to talk to anyone. Not really thinking straight pipes just because of the loss of power and mpg. Hopefully someone can help me try and pick something out. My girlfriend is insisting on buying it for me as my graduation gift, so pretty much as soon as I figure out what I want done I just need to find a shop and I'll be getting it done to the truck. Trucks a 5.4 by the way if it matters in ideas at all.
Thanks yall,
Barrett

x2, or Dynomax Bullets as the mufflers for a cheaper alternative if every penny matters.
Parts should only cost around $150 +/- and $150-$200 to put it all together. I would suggest going to Bowdon Muffler, but you live on the other side of Atlanta.
not looking for just the cheaper alternative. I keep getting told the price doesn't matter. I just really want my truck to have that deep tone to it, and if its possible pick up a little hp or mpg.

Looking at getting the 14" Borla Pro xs mufflers x piped, since that seems to get pretty good reviews and sounds like Borla makes a good exhaust. Not sure what size tips I should be going with. But does anyone have an idea on how much install is to get true duals put on my truck?

Borla is the best, no question about it.
$230 is what my true duals fabbed and installed was. $220 - $270 is the average you should look for in 2.5" smooth bent pipes.
