New exhaust on my 2010 Supercrew

Just got it last week! I'm interested in some new exhaust, something a little throatier, but not too much drone when going down the road. I'd like to keep the single pipe out the rear side. Any suggestions?

Actually I would not waste your money on a cat back... Our exhaust pipe size is more then enough free flowing at 2.75"... Just go to your local shop and have them weld in a Magnaflow of your choice! I went with a 14" on my truck and then added a nice stainless tip. In my opinion it sounds perfect! Not overwhelming, but it sounds great!!!

I have had a Magnaflow and now I have Borla Pro XS's. The Borla is a little bit throatier and a tad deeper. Almost a mix sound of a Magnaflow and Flowmaster. No drone on the interstate even with high flow cats.

There are a crap load of options. I am sure that what ever you choose to go with you will like it. However, you can do it without spending several hundred dollars!!! 14" Magnaflow off ebay=$65.. Welded on with a stainless tip at my local shop was $80.. So I am into my exhaust for $145.. And I love it!

So forgive my ignorance, but from what I've read, the longer the muffler, the quieter it is right? Where does your 14" sit in that range? What comes stock on it?

Correct, the longer the quieter. I believe stock is close to 32". Freaking bathtub. But you have different designs too. Straight through (Magnaflow, Borla, Bassani, Dynomax) and chambered (Flowmaster, FloPro). Straight throughs will be a little quieter but deeper, chambered will be more aggressive sounding.

So how does your Borla compare pricewise to the magnaflow? Would it be best to purchase online?

You can get a Magnaflow off eBay for around 70-75 dollars. I got my Borla (Pro XS model - their value priced ones) for 89.00 from a dealer.

Find which one you you like and check the part number on eBay.

I'll second the Borla idea, but magnaflow sounds great too!

Does borla make an 18"? I don't see one on their website...
