2000 F150 Intake

I would like to hear some peoples opinions on cold air intakes or ram air. I have a 5.4 and the motor has been all re worked with bigger cams and ported heads. I need a good intake to get the most air possible. Can i get some ideas?

go for it. i have a K&N CAI and i have no complaints. i definately get more air in than a stock setup (driven many a stock f150 same MY, and i can say my truck has more "pep") only time ive regretted havin it was almost hydrolocked my motor muddin and hit a real watered down hole.

I started out to do teh Gotts mod with a K&N filter, ended up with a S&B intake instead. When I removed the airbox, I found it had been broken and glued back together. I have been happy with teh S&B, you feel a slight difference, and sounds awsome. You can't go wrong either way.

Basically all you gain out of a CAI is the sound. I prefer a plastic style but my truck come with the metal K&N and no way im swapping it.
