$475 shipped for Resonator System -includes headers, hardware, gaskets, resonators, and Ypipe
$550 Shipped for Catted System -includes everything above except cats instead of resonators

I am told to buy Grade 8 header bolts and use the stock exhaust gaskets, rather than the ones supplied with the kit.

I used the factory studs and nuts and used the gaskets that came with the kit...

As did I, factory gaskets are super thin especially compared to the OBX supplied ones.

I also have dual 14" magnaflow mufflers and X pipe but I am switching to a dual in dual out 18" magnaflow with internal X pipe to help with noise. 14" is stupid loud and a bit raspy with no cats.

The 18 isnt that bad, I was almost considering going to their 22" or what not. I haven't towed yet so I really don't know how bad the drone would be.

Would the money be sent directly to parts vender under a group by ?

Does anyone have experiance with the OBX cats or would it be better to go with magnaflow cats?

Do you regret not going 22? 14 with stock manifolds and 2 cats was to quiet. I havent put on my 18" yet but 14 is loud but its more noise then a good sound. I was hoping 18 would give good sound, if its loud thats ok but the rasp of the 14"s sucks.

No not much rasp.

With my stock manifolds and high flow cats the 18 was great. Hardly any drone, but loud and really good sounding at WOT.

Right now, the 18 is very live-able and quite possibly, my truck is one of the best sounding mod motors I have heard in person. My only concern is the droan when I tow, which I haven't yet since I got the OBX long tubes and resonators.

If you just drive the truck and don't tow, the 18 will sound awesome. If you tow, I would think 22 would be more like it.

I personally like quite vehicles, and will probably end up going to the 22-24 or whatever.

I dont tow much, I have towed a trailer a few times to help friends move but other then that I use the bed of the truck alot. I think I'll be happy with 18 based on what you've said. I heard your truck in the other thread and I agree it is one of the best if not the best mod motor I have heard online. Being as I havent heard it in person..

Yeah I don't like to sound arrogant(on purpose), but I just absolutely love the sound of my truck now. I think it's about the 7th or 8th exhaust setup I have I had on my truck to get where it's at now.

Of course I don't have much to compare it too. Pretty much most trucks have blow massters on them or just some out of the box exhaust.

Everyone around here in AZ has flowmasters and its old. The only time a flow sounds good is at idle or barely pushing the gas, otherwise the noise sounds terrible.

Oh and this will be exhaust setup number 5 I think for me.

Any idea what cats come with the kit?

I'm doing Efans, full exhaust upgrade within the next couple months and want to do it right the first time. Fatherford has an awesome setup, I could go a little louder since I'm still young but $550 with cats, if they're any good, and I'll be sold

They are OBX cats. Haven't figured out how the money thing would work; right now I am just trying to gauge interest. I have you down so if/when this goes through in the next couple of weeks I will let you know...

Is that through obx or through sparteckmotorsports?
If their cats are as good as magnaflows I'll take the kit with cats

Fatherford: how did you exit your exhaust on your truck?
